The Chief Minister announced an additional seed money of Rs 100 million for students from backward districts, increasing the scholarship fund from Rs 300 million to Rs 400 million. This additional amount has been allocated only for students from backward areas. He further said that the Chief Minister Education Endowment Fund has been increased from Rs 1.2 billion to Rs 2.4 billion, while a separate fund of Rs 2 billion has also been established for education cards.
