    Clinic On Wheels Project

    Maryam Nawaz announced the launch of the Clinic On Wheels project across the province. Punjab Chief Minister Ms. Maryam Nawaz Sharif has started the best health services in the province. A meeting was held regarding health facilities. While presiding over the meeting, Maryam Nawaz said that 200 clinics on wheels would be provided across Punjab.

    Which will provide the best health services to the rural population. Maryam Nawaz further said that the project is being worked on rapidly and will be completed in April 2024. Maryam Nawaz immediately allocated a budget of 16 billion rupees for the Clinic On Wheels project and the upgrading of the hospital so that there would be no delay in this project.

    He has declared improving health services and bringing reforms as his priorities. Maryam Nawaz said that if people face any problem related to the health sector development plan, they should inform us about it immediately. We will ensure the provision of quality health facilities across the province. 200 clinics will be established in Wells for the residents of towns and slums. In this phase, all basic health services will be provided, trained staff will deploy, and doctors, LHVs, and vaccinators will be available.

    Field Hospitals

    Maryam Nawaz said that in the meeting, field hospitals would be established in cities or areas where hospitals are not available.

    Many medical services will be performed in field hospitals, in which facilities such as ultrasound medicine delivery, preliminary medical examination, laboratory tests, and health check-ups of nursing mothers and infants will be available. Maryam Nawaz further said that in the year 2024, 32 field hospitals would start across the province.

    Maryam Nawaz said that every year, many patients lose their lives due to fake medicines, and strict action will be taken against the manufacturers of fake medicines and the drug mafia. These people who are risking millions of lives do not deserve concessions. Through these measures, the lives of citizens and patients will be protected, which will create a safe society. 

    Muhammad Nawaz Sharif Cancer Hospital

    To make cancer treatment possible in Pakistan, Maryam Nawaz also announced the establishment of a 250-bed Muhammad Nawaz Sharif Cancer Hospital in Lahore, Punjab. He said that the construction work of the hospital will be completed soon. The construction of this hospital is promised to be completed by June 2026. He said that to appoint doctors in this hospital. Nurses will be sent abroad for higher training. 

    So that they can improve their skills and perform better health services in their country, and the treatment of other diseases like cancer can be made possible. She said that 100 percent transparency will be ensured in the procurement and supply of medicines in hospitals. Attention will also be given to the doctors and nurses in hospitals at all times to draw manuals.

    Air Ambulances

    Maryam Nawaz Sahiba announced the provision of air ambulances to provide better basic health services to the people living in the hilly areas. He said that in emergencies, the people living in the hilly areas have to face many problems in bringing the patients to the hospital. Due to difficult routes, patients cannot reach the hospital quickly, and many precious lives are lost. 

    To solve their problem, it was decided to provide air ambulances, to help them reach the hospital by air. He said that air ambulances will be provided with all the facilities that are available in a common ambulance. Advanced medical training will be provided to the ambulance staff. All steps will be taken in a better way to provide first aid to the patients. With the help of the Air Ambulance Service, people living in poor areas have facilities.
