    Punjab Government’s Suggestions for this Program

    It has been proposed to incorporate a greater number of small and medium farmers into this scheme as compared to before. Given the rising cost of agriculture, the loan limit per acre is under proposal for increase. Further, it has been proposed to allow the farmers to take diesel along with the facility of 30 percent cash withdrawal through Kisan Card so that farmers can better meet their requirements.It has been highlighted to remove the transaction charges on purchases through Kisan Card so that farmers can be saved from more financial burden.

    Zafar Masood, President Bank of Punjab was also in the meeting. Bank of Punjab is offering a sizable portion of the role for the Kisan Card Scheme and for financial facilities to farmers.
